Biotin
Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin that is a member of the B-complex family of vitamins (vitamin B7). Biotin is also classified as the vitamin H (the H representing "Haar and Haut", which are the German words for "hair and skin").Like other vitamins of the B-complex, biotin plays a key role in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. In this way biotin plays a role in the Krebs energy cycle, and may aid in weight loss. Biotin also plays a key role in the growth and maintenance of hair, nails, skin and bone.
